Hello friends I am sharing few experiences which I had in Mysore 2AFSB.

Day 1.

Reached mysore railway station at 4 AM early morning. Mysore a very cool place with lot of wonderful places to visit. Lets come back there later. Well then I was asked to be at railway station by 7 a.m. in the morning by IAF. So what should I do till then, I just went to the waiting hall in the 1st platform, registered the ticked and sat on  the chair with other friends of mine whom I never knew. They had also come for the same purpose as I did. As time passed people started moving around. 

*ADVICE1: Finish all your morning call and get ready in formals with polished shoes and tie if have. U will get no time in AFSB to get ready, straight away you will be pulled into testing hall. Actually prepare yourself to face the busy day ahead... trust me a MIND BLOWING busy day.

The bus arrived exactly the time mentioned i.e at 7 a.m. By 7:40 we were in the most awaited place called the 2nd Air Force Selection Board.(2AFSB) premises. 

We were made to fall in soon to verify the call letter.

*ADVICE2: Keep all your original doc, photos, writing material ,calculator, ID proof, railway/bus ticket, call letter in a small bag and carry with you. Don't put it in the luggage, since luggage will not be accessible till the screening tests are over.

Days agenda,

1. Duty officer addressing & welcoming the cadets.

2. Call letter check.

3. Form filling and registration.

4. Document verification.

All this will be over by 10 A.M.

SCREENING TEST

The actual test begins now, screening test consists of,

1. General aptitude

2. Picture perception test

3. Group discussion

This is the key to your 4 day stay ,where you will be made to experience a bit of air force culture and habits.


Lets begin with the tests now.

General Aptitude
It consists of two tests of 30min each. It will be very easy nothing to worry about nor need any preparation, if you have really passed engineering then you can do it very well. Firstly u will be given a book containing about 50 questions, do it as quick as possible and try to attend all of them. Second test of similar kind will be given for same duration. The main air of this simple test is to understand how quick decision u make, how quick learner u r ..etc


Picture Perception test
This test is bit interesting since most of u will be doing it for the first time, don't worry they will teach first with example and then start the test. Here a unclear image will be shown for about 30 sec which u have to observe carefully and then 1 min will be given to write down the action in the picture. You have to explain the mood, sex, age of the character u c in the picture. Finally u will have 4 min to construct a story about it and explain whats happening, what lead to it, what will happen next. Here important thing is to imagine the character in the action as yourself and for the story showing some good qualities of yours....to be continued
